Jackson Hill Foundation gives families tools to keep them healthy and well during hospital stays by funding and building Jackson Hill Wellness Centers in U.S. pediatric hospitals.  Our centers are open 24/7, offering cardio, weights, yoga, exercise videos and relaxation areas free to patients' families.

We opened our second Jackson Hill Wellness Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital January 2018

OUR IMPACT

Since opening in March 2012, Jackson Hill Wellness Center at Randall Children's Hospital (Portland, Oregon) has served over 13,000 people.  Here are some quotes from our guest book:

“ I used the elliptical and treadmill machines, exercise pads, jump rope, and one of the medicine balls. I loved watching TV and movies while working out. The room was clean and the floor to ceiling windows allowed lots of light in and a great view. Thank you so much for building it. It was a nice break and it allowed for me to continue on my weight loss contest with my brother to be the first to lose 10 pounds. I won. Thank you for your generosity and your heart! You are a blessing to so many hurting people! ~ Dirk L.

My son, Jason, asked me every day to leave the hospital room and use JHWC.  We ended up going together and would spend an hour everyday

when my younger daughter was in therapy.  Not only was it good to get daily exercise as a stress relief, it also allowed me an uninterrupted hour

of alone time with Jason. ~ Kristen H.

“You have provided an outlet for my stress and anxiety as I process my healthy, active and happy 11 year old having a stroke on Feb 8th. We have been here since and knowing I have a place to escape is so good for my mental well being.”  Erin J.

“The Jackson Hill Wellness Center was a blessing for my husband, Ryan, and I.  We are active people by nature, and during those five months at the hospital, we craved a bit of normalcy in our lives during a very stressful time for our family. It allowed us to spend time with Anna and our son Brett, but when needed, to take a brief rest from the pressures that come with taking care of a critically ill child.  The Wellness Center, I am sure, kept us centered and present when our children needed us most.”  Kim S.
